Wednesday Jan 26, 2022
Wednesday Jan 26, 2022
Hey Everyone,
This week I brought on my good friend Graham to discuss the topic of family. It is something that has always played a huge role in the ups and downs of my life and it felt awesome to talk out our experiences together. Acknowledging the challenges that come with family has been a huge part of my journey thus far.
Thank you all for the support!
Enjoy the episode!

50 First Days (of Giving a Damn About Myself)
Thursday Jan 20, 2022
Thursday Jan 20, 2022
Hey Everyone,
I've been on this journey of self-help and self-discovery for right about 50 days now. I thought it would be a good time to check in about where I'm at and in particular what major subjects I've elected to tackle in my own life in order to better myself. I also hope to outline some of the most effective tools and ideas I've learned along the way. It's a quick listen but I'm excited to bring you along as I approach the next stages of this podcast and my life.
I have really appreciated all of the conversations that I've had with listers so far and cannot wait to keep growing with you!

Ascend: Coaching Positivity and Mindfulness
Wednesday Jan 12, 2022
Wednesday Jan 12, 2022
Hey all, this week I will be having on my high school football coach, Mike Lengel. Coach implemented a philosophy to coaching unlike any I have experienced tying in practices of mindfulness and positivity. Together, we worked to rebuild a high school football program that was at its extreme low point when he took the reigns. He taught us that football was not meant to be something that took over your life, but rather supplemented it and supported your pursuits elsewhere. A college football player himself, he comes with a long background of coaching dos and don'ts fueled by his own experiences. He bought into his new age practices, encouraging us all to buy into it with him. I hope that our generation can improve our practices as educators and coaches through his experiences and teachings and create a world where you do not have to give up on one passion in place for another, and where mental health can be supported either implicitly or explicitly along the way. Enjoy!

Gut Check: Athletic Identity and College During COVID
Wednesday Jan 05, 2022
Wednesday Jan 05, 2022
Welcome to 2022! I hope you are all having a happy beginning to the new year! This week we will break down what being an athlete means to an individual's identity and how the craziness of COVID impacted that in student athletes. To discuss these topics, I welcome on the show's first interview with Chris, Joe, and Bobby, a trio of junior year members of Bowdoin Men's Ice Hockey team. A special thanks to them for sharing their stories and having a lot of fun while doing it. Come along to learn, laugh, share in the feelings, or at the very least to hear some interesting stories from some great guys.

Acceptance

Wednesday Dec 22, 2021
Today’s episode I will dive into the challenge it is to stop fighting against yourself and instead accepting your situation in order to face your struggles. It will outline my own experience being prescribed antidepressants, and the development of my own drinking habits. Should be a fun one!
Today’s episode also includes our first anonymous personal story. I really appreciate that individual taking the time to be vulnerable and cannot wait to see more!

The Why
Wednesday Dec 22, 2021
Wednesday Dec 22, 2021
For quite some time now, I have held in far too much about how I feel about my own mental health and how it is approached in society. Due to my own inability to function anywhere in the middle ground, I will now make a leap from repressed to over sharing.
With that, I would like to introduce to you my new podcast The Things That I Haven’t Even Told My Therapist.
There will be more news to come shortly, but I wanted to share this introductory bit to help raise awareness. Over the coming weeks (and hopefully even longer into the future) I will tell my story and speak to my own experiences as well as bring in outside voices to support and expand on the ideas I would like to address.
Everyone knows that talking to someone about your struggles is never easy, especially when that individual is a relative stranger you are paying to listen and has a degree to pick apart every little piece of your subconscious. So, I started this podcast in the hopes of finally being able to address honestly the matters that I have faced with the hope that these experiences perhaps can relate to something any of you may be struggling with. I hope these ideas speak to you and that you can find some way to engage emotionally, because I know I have already discovered and confronted so much about myself.
